When I left for our R&R (wait? You didn't know that we had left? What about that post that I... didn't write... about leaving.... Never mind) I had grand visions of posting at least once a week so that I didn't have to play a lot of catch-up when I returned. And I felt like I had a responsibility to the two readers (hi Mom and Dad!) that keep a close watch on my life to keep them informed about what I've been up to.
Unfortunately for them, that part of my life is now an informational black hole. Sorry.
I didn't even take any pictures the last half of my vacation. And the video camera that I brought never made it out of my suitcase to get its battery charged up.
Let's just pretend that I was just so busy living my life that I didn't have time to take pictures instead of admitting the truth: I'm just lazy.
But! I did put a lot of time and research into hiring a professional photographer to take pictures of the whole family while we were in Missouri. Unfortunately for me and everyone I drag with me, I missed the photographer's email about not being able to meet for our appointment Thursday evening. And since we were never able to work out a cell phone for our trip, he didn't have any way to tell me that we were wasting our time at Jolly Mill waiting around in our fashionably co-ordinated outfits for nobody to show up.
We were able to reschedule for 7:30 the morning we decamped from my in-laws so we could participate in a three-day house party with six adults and fifteen children (12, 10, 8, 7, 7, 6, 5, 5, 4, 3, 2, 2, 1, 0,0).
So here are a few pictures.
Don't we look pretty?
